Programs
Our school readiness program is focused on literacy and numeracy through play-based learning and you’ll be able to watch this journey with daily updates via our app. Our Preschool program curriculum is formulated based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), an Australian Government approved framework designed to ensure that children in all early childhood education and care settings receive quality teaching and learning.
The core concepts of the EYLF are:
Belonging
Encouraging your child to understand where and with whom they belong
Being
Encouraging your child to develop a sense of self and awareness to their surroundings
Becoming
Encouraging your child to develop and grow, emotionally, cognitively and physic
Educational Program
We use the Early Years Learning Framework as the foundation for planning the learning environment with a collaborative staff team approach. Children are encouraged to learn through their play, take safe risks, problem solve, extend their creativity, explore the environment and centre resources.
Nutrition
Healthy and delicious meals and snacks are prepared daily by our in-house cook using fresh ingredients and seasonal produce. We provide 4 weeks rotating menu where every menu is full of nutritionally developed dishes that is freshly prepared for your child every day in our on-site kitchen.
Sustainability
At Blossom Preschool we implement a sustainability plan to involve the children in the process of learning about nature, the environment, animals and the planet. Sustainability can be defined as a way to be more resourceful with nature and teaches children about being mindful of the environment.
Embracing Technology
Introducing state of the art technology into the service helps prepare the children for future avenues of learning as the roads ahead for them include a foundation of positive interactions and dealings with equipment based on technology.
Excursions
Our excursions are thoughtfully designed to foster a sense of connection with the world around us. By exploring local communities, observing wildlife, and participating in hands on activities, children gain an understanding of the importance of being part of the community.
School Readiness
Our school readiness program is carefully designed to nurture essential skills for a smooth transition to Primary school. Through engaging activities like problem solving games, group projects, and creative exploration, children develop confidence, communication, and critical thinking abilities. These experiences prepare them to embrace new challenges with enthusiasm and a solid foundation for lifelong learning.
